Солсберийский собор
Солсберийский собор в Великобритании - самый яркий образец английской готики, обладатель самого высокого церковного шпиля в Англии и самых старейших в мире работающих часов. А еще это один самых старейших соборов Соединенного Королевства на протяжении уже более 750 лет.
По легенде, когда епископ Солсбери Ричар Пур собрался строить собор, он пустил стрелу в небо, пообещав построить храм там, куда она упадет. Стрела упала посреди заливных лугов и неподалеку от реки Эйвон. И в этом живописном месте в 1220 году и был заложен первый камень будущего Солсберийского собора, или Собора девы Марии.
Уникальность его в том, что основное строительство храма было закончено в кратчайший для того времени срок. Всего за 38 лет, за одно поколение, в период с 1220 по 1258 годы, выросло грандиозное сооружение, все линии которого подчеркивали устремленность к небесам, высоту и свет. В 1330 году собор был увенчан 123-метровым шпилем, одной из последних частей собора, самым высоким в Англии на сегодняшний день.

Необычный мост-кольцо для пешеходов.
В 2011 году новый пешеходный мост был представлен в районе Шанхая под названием Пудонг. Этот крупномасштабный круглый пешеходный переход позволяет пешеходам избежать движения по автомобильной дороге к остановке Lujiazui-Роуд. Мост обеспечивает доступ ко всем коммуникациям, остановке и большому торгово-развлекательному центру с множеством магазинов, кафе и офисных зданий.

Норвежские травяные крыши
Травяные крыши в Норвегии используются уже на протяжении многих столетий. С давних времен кровля крыш у народов, населяющих Скандинавию, делалась из торфа, дерна, коры березы и других природных материалов.Благодаря этому в домах очень комфортный микроклимат - летом прохладно, зимой - тепло. До сих пор многие дома в Норвегии строятся следуя этой традиции.
Дерн, почти до начала ХІХ столетия, был универсальным материалом для кровли крыш в домах всех сословий Норвегии. Появление черепицы, а затем шифера и других кровельных материалов постепенно начали вытеснять традиционные для Норвегии экологические, красивые и милые травяные крыши. "Наступление цивилизации" началось с городов, но со временем дошло и до сельской местности.
От полного исчезновения, зеленые травяные крыши Норвегии спасли энтузиасты.Они начали и возглавили движение, направленное на возрождение давних народных традиций. Вначале, музеи под открытым небом, домики для отдыха в горах,. а затем, зеленые крыши из травы и цветов снова стали просто популярными и модными. Ведь, кроме того, что такая кровля крыши просто красивая и доставляет эстетическое удовольствие, она довольно дешева, долговечна,
стабилизирует температуру в доме, улучшает микроклимат, обеспечивая надежную тепло- и гидроизоляции. Таким образом, зеленые крыши стали снова популярными и, при этом, стали достойной альтернативой новым строительным материалам.

Мечеть Кул Шариф
Мечеть Кул Шариф – одно из самых красивых мест в Казани. Построенна мечеть на територии Казанского кремля, торжественное открытие состоялось 24 июня, в 2005 году, как раз к 1000-летнему юбилею Казани.
Архитектура мечети воссоздает разрушенную много веков назад соборную мечеть аль-Кабир (13 век), которая находилась в городе Булгар.
Высота четырех больших минаретов – 57 метров, есть еще два малых, центрального купола мечети – 39 метров, его диаметр – 17,5 метров. Общая площадь участка, который занимает мечеть – 19 тысяч квадратных метров. Купол мечети напоминает шапку-корону, «Казанскую шапку». Такие шапки раньше носили казанские ханы.
Комплекс мечети Кул-Шариф стал культурно-просветительским комплексом и научным центром: в состав его помещений включен Музей исламской культуры Поволжья, Музей древней рукописи с исследовательской частью, библиотека.
